Several weeks ago I saw this article

I could do this.  I could have a small house in a temperate climate and a large outdoor screened-in room.
Simplified living.  As much as I really do need a 12 step program for dishes, cloth napkins( that I never use) paper goods, etc., I would still be happy with this.  All I would have to have is a little more space for my kids as I have 4 not 1 and room for my friends to feel at home.
Dreaming.......

God prepares a place for me

I know that God is preparing a place for me and it will be full of books...on a beach...the REAL coke won't make me fat and the house will stay clean.  My favorite music will always play and the chairs will already be broken in perfectly for me.  It will be filled with friends and family with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms so everyone feels comfortable and at home.  There will always be a pot or platter or cookie jar brimming with deliciousness (again...calorie free!).
But the books......I LOVE BOOKS...I love the places they take me, the people I meet and the stories I get to live.  I know that in my little corner of Heaven, I will have glistening (duh...heaven) bookcases of books, my favorites and those that Jesus knows I will love (He knows things like that).

7. I love spending time with my "sister-of-my-heart" in my sweats!
8.  I DO NOT love snow.  If something is while on the ground I have to walk on, it needs to be sand!

10. Why is it so easy to procrastinate on projects that you need to do for yourself but so easy to help other people with theirs?

My Bits by Number

I was surfing blogs and came across one that just had a post called "100 things", just a random list of things about the blogger. I loved it! You learn a lot about the little "bits" that make up a person thru a random list. But I think I will be (lol) incredibly different and call my "Bits" instead of "list". I think it makes me sound much more interesting....it will also probably be ongoing as I think of more "Bits" about me.

Here we go:

1. I love the word "WHIMSICAL". It is musical and makes me think something fun is about to happen.

2. Spaghetti always, always, always tastes better on Monday.

3. I have always adored books.

4. I believe there are certain books that, as a child, you should read every summer and as you grow up, every few years just to remember how you felt as a child.

5. My books for every summer: A Little Princess, Nancy and Plum, Half-Magic.

6. I liked Hardy Boys better than NancyDrew cuz they fought more!

The Beginning

Well, I thought I would try this again. I started a blog just after seeing Julia and Julie. It made me want to write and eat.

I hope I can be a bit more diligent in writing this time. Not sure I have much that anyone would want to read but I have gained a bit of wisdom in these 50 years.
